Surprisingly, the first parade of the year in the Russian capital wasn’t a military one. It was organised by the Transport Department of Moscow on January 8 and despite harsh weather conditions, over 500 cyclists showed up. Temperatures dropped to petrifying -28˚C, so the riders were, quite naturally, under the supervision of emergency services. Nobody asked for medical assistance, though. Russians are one hell of a tough nation.
