Tour de France is over. Now what?

By Honza Koran

Le Tour ended a few days ago, and there are three more weeks to go before the Vuelta starts. But the summer is still with us, so why don’t we take advantage of this little break to talk about some things we’ve been neglecting these past weeks! Here’s what you can look forward to next month on WeLoveCycling.

As you may remember, we sent three winners of our summer Adventure Camp contest to Lago di Garda for three days to learn how to downhill. We also sent a camera crew along to chronicle their efforts and capture the fun. We’ll be posting the film later this month, so you can get an close up view of all the action from the weekend, including a fair share of falls.

The Tour wasn’t the only thing going on this summer – our editor Adam has brought back a great report from his bike trip to Sardinia. We’ll also be talking about other islands around Europe for you to take with your bike, maybe for an after-summer vacation.

We’ll also let you know what you should (and shouldn’t) carry in your backpack on a bike trip, and how to deal with and prevent tyre defects.

And because we haven’t gotten enough of road cycling, we will cover the Tour of Spain this summer. We’ll also be showing you the great new official Vuelta app as soon as it’s ready.
