That is where the Škoda Kodiaq quietly became an important part of the journey. According to Ewa, adapting to the car took almost no time at all. “Life with this car was simply fabulous,” she says. Living in a mountain environment, she immediately appreciated its ability to handle steep roads and changing conditions. “I didn’t worry about the weather when driving up to the mountain hut where I live.”
For a cyclist, practicality often matters more than luxury, and the Kodiaq delivered where it counted. Transporting a bike was effortless. “I easily fit my bike inside the Škoda,” she explains, a feature that simplified training days considerably. The generous interior space proved useful beyond transport as well. “I used the car’s space as a changing room for training,” she says, turning the vehicle into a mobile base camp between rides.
That versatility became especially valuable during the unpredictable spring weather in the mountains. While storage and accessibility were major advantages, comfort quickly became another favourite feature. Zwolska particularly highlights the heated seats and massage function, not only after a demanding training session. “The massage option for the driver and passenger – that’s great,” she laughs. More importantly, the heated seats proved invaluable during cold mountain mornings and family trips alike. “I drove my freezing mother from the station to my place, and the heated seats were a real plus.”

The Kodiaq also impressed when conditions became more demanding. Determined to test its capabilities, Ewa took it onto roads that were far from ideal for ordinary passenger vehicles. “One time for training, I drove up a mountain on a road that wasn’t designed for city cars or low-end SUVs,” she recalls. “The Kodiaq handled it without a problem.” After months of living, working, and training alongside the vehicle, Ewa sees a natural connection between Škoda and cycling culture. “Škoda meets the many needs of the cycling enthusiast,” she says. “It’s ready to meet challenges, ready to travel, transport bikes, and visit beautiful, sometimes difficult-to-reach places.”
That spirit of adventure resonates strongly with her own approach to cycling. Long before structured training and race preparation entered the picture, Ewa rode simply to explore. In that sense, the Kodiaq became more than just a support vehicle during The Unseen Stage. It was a tool that made those adventures easier to reach. And perhaps the strongest endorsement came when the project ended. “Parting with it was sad,” she admits. For a cyclist whose life revolves around movement, discovery, and the mountains, there may be no better review than that.
