Vlasov did it
The BORA-Hansgrohe rider put in a dominant time-trial performance, winning stage five of the Tour de Romandie by 31 seconds and securing the overall victory in the process. The 26-year-old ended up beating Gino Mäder (Bahrain Victorious) by 50 seconds overall. Simon Geschke (Cofidis) put out a stunning performance as well. He surprised everyone by finishing second in the time trial and secured the final spot on the podium. Rohan Dennis, who was in the lead at the start of the day, struggled with the steep course and lost two minutes and 12 seconds on Vlasov and dropped to eighth place overall.
