Ralph Denk losing a bet
The Bora-Hansgrohe manager bet the World Champ that he wouldn’t win a third consecutive world title. Well, we all know how that turned out, and Sagan was sure to enjoy the outcome.
“I heard some rumours from the team, Ralph, that you have something new on your body. And I wanted to ask if it’s true,” Sagan said as he took the microphone during the official 2018 team presentation.

Denk then rolled down his sock to reveal Peter’s name tattooed on his ankle.
“When I promise something, then I do it. Peter came to me on the morning of the Worlds and said ‘if I win, you have to have a tattoo of my logo on your foot’. And yeah, I did it,” Denk told the crowd and then added: “But Peter, there’s still space on my right leg.”
A hint towards the next year’s championships?
