Morpher: The Flat Folding Helmet Which Fits Into Your Backpack

By Monica Buck

Jeffrey Woolf, an English inventor, was involved in a major crash while on a bike in the past, and it was a helmet that saved his life. With that experience, he was astonished to find out that a large portion of cyclists don’t wear a helmet even though they supposedly know they should. Inconvenience is often cited as a reason for not wearing a helmet, so Woolf vowed to create a folding helmet that would suit anybody’s needs. And after a 5-year-long pursuit, the Morpher came into existence.

It is made from hard plastic and foam just like any traditional helmet, but inside you’ll find a flexible layer which holds the foam sections together while allowing them to fold. There are also magnets to hold the sides together when the helmet is folded flat. The Morpher folds up to a thickness of 1.4 inches so it is easy enough to carry around and way smaller than traditional designs. It is just as safe as non-folding helmets and passed all the necessary tests.

“At Morpher, not only do we want a safer planet but we believe in a greener one too, so most of our helmet’s components are recyclable. We’ve won a load of awards around the world and have thousands of customers who rave about us and love their Morpher helmets,” Woolf said for the official website.
