5 Amazing MTB Camps for Women

By Monica Buck

Women looking for a bit of excitement while improving their riding skills might find the classic MTB camps stressful and not very relaxing, as not a lot of ladies attend them. That’s why female exclusive camps might be the answer. But which one is best suited for you? We’ve compiled 5 big names to choose from.

Liv Ladies AllRide Tour

Lindsey Voreis founded the ’Ladies AllRide Tour’ because throughout the decade she spent traveling the country and promoting mountain biking, she noticed that very few women take part in this beautiful sport. MTB Camps for women were the obvious answer.

“Mountain biking can enrich women’s lives in so many ways! It helps them overcome fears, believe in themselves and eliminate negative thoughts. It is magical to witness a woman accomplish more than she thought possible and we are determined to help more females find that confidence on their bikes and in life!” says Lindsey.

The list of Liv Ladies AllRide Tour’s camps for 2016 can be found HERE, but hurry. Some of them are already sold out.

Trek Dirt Series

The instructors at Trek Dirt Series have taught over 10,000 women already. Their events are highly praised for their great atmosphere and wide range of activities. Lots of the coaches are also ski, snowboard or kiting instructors.

I Choose Bikes

Interested in riding bikes by day and enjoying wining and dining by night? Leigh Donovan’s camps might be the answer. The World Downhill Mountain Bike Champion is targeting women who aren’t hardcore riders and simply want to become better and safer mountain bikers.

“After hosting clinics across the country, working local events, and launching the first ever 3-day mountain bike retreat at Mammoth Mountain, CA , in 2014, I found that education for bikes is much needed and that riders want to learn from professionals, which is awesome. The goal this year is to help women find their best,” says Leigh Donovan.

SRAM Gold Rusch Tour

Rebecca Rusch started the Gold Rusch Tour as a way of getting into the world of cycling for women who lack friends to ride with, technical skills and equipment knowledge.

“For this year’s SRAM Gold Rusch Tour, I’ve brought back some of the tried and true favorites as well as added a new east coast event to the schedule.  Each stop will include great rides, clinics, and the industry’s top athletes to help you improve your skills, get out of your comfort zone, and learn all of the tips and tricks you need to have the best time you can in the saddle,” said Rebecca about the upcoming events.

LB Bikes Camp

“Bikes have been a HUGE part of my daily life since I was an 8-year-old building dirt jumps with my Big Brother at our local ‘Duke Trails’ to full day, exploratory, cross country road adventures I lead my crew of best friends on when I was 10.  My passion has never left,” says Lorraine Blancher, former Canadian National Downhill Champion and founder of LB Bikes Camp.

Lorraine offers something a little bit different from the others. She focuses on world-class coaching customtailored to the needs of individuals or small groups. You can enjoy a two-hour private session or even a seven-day all-inclusive trip.
