The FDJ United-SUEZ leader began the 99.2-km finale only eight seconds ahead of Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney. Canyon//SRAM put her under pressure throughout the stage, and Niewiadoma-Phinney attacked immediately on the final ascent of the Col d’Èze.
Vollering matched every acceleration before making her own move 800 metres from the summit. Niewiadoma-Phinney finally cracked, and Vollering increased her advantage on the descent into Nice, winning the stage by 1:04 and the Tour by 1:18.
“I never won in the yellow jersey before. I thought about my team; I thought about Célia who had a really, really rough night. I thought about all the work I did before this. I thought about the people behind me, working together with Specialized on the new bike, they made this bike to be the fastest downhill, to be the fastest uphill. It’s incredible the people I have around me. It’s not only the dream to win in yellow here, to win a second Tour de France, but it’s the dream to live this life, to work hard together with people with a lot of passion.”

“I had to try to attack. To go alone because I wanted to make it clear that we didn’t win because of an incident yesterday. I wanted to make it clear that we as a team deserve to win a beautiful Tour de France Femmes, with humility and with pride,” Vollering continued.
“We are humble, and we are proud,” Vollering added. She never lost confidence after conceding more than a minute to Niewiadoma-Phinney on Mont Ventoux, viewing it instead as part of racing: “Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.”
Her response was emphatic. Vollering won both stages in Nice, overturned her deficit and finished the Tour more than four minutes ahead of third-placed Elisa Longo Borghini. The victory also completed a remarkable Giro–Tour double in 2026 and made her the first two-time winner of the modern Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.
“I still have a lot of dreams, on and off the bike,” she said in the official Tour interview.
On the podium, Vollering thanked her team: “I couldn’t do it without all of them” and spoke about “believing in the dream.”
“We did it,” she declared before offering one final message to the next generation: “Go chase the dreams” and “don’t let anybody stop you.”
