By Monica Buck

Another Monday is here and our news from the world of cycling with it. So, what did you miss?

Ewan holds off Sagan

The Australian won his third Tour Down Under Classic, tying the record of André Greipel from the 14th edition of the race. Many of the favourites were caught up in a crash 500 metres before the finish. That left Caleb Ewan and Peter Sagan fighting for the win. Sagan had the advantage of drafting behind the Lotto-Soudal pro, but the 24-year-old managed to hold him off and beat the world champ by a bike’s length. Alexander Edmondson crossed the finish line behind them to claim the third place.
