Kwiatkowski Attacks to Win Volta ao Algarve and Other Cool News from the World of Cycling

Another Monday is here and our news from the world of cycling with it! So, what did you miss?

Michał Kwiatkowski wins Volta ao Algarve

Geraint Thomas was unable to hold his lead in the final stage and lost to his Polish team-mate. Kwiatkowski launched an attack on the final climb of stage five from a breakaway group with around 2km to go. He managed to beat Ruben Guerreiro (Trek-Segafredo) into second and Serge Pauwels (Dimension Data) into third. The peloton, containing Geraint Thomas, crossed the finish line at 1-47 down. Kwiatkowski continues to prove he’s in fine form at the beginning of the season.
