Another Monday is here and our news from the world of cycling with it! So, what did you miss?
Great win for Astana
Richie Porte (BMC) lost his overall lead to Jakob Fuglsang (Astana) in the final stage of the 2017 Critérium du Dauphiné. The Dane started the day in third place at 1-15 behind Porte and finished 1-15 ahead of Porte, taking a 10-second bonus on the line to secure the title and the biggest win of his career.

Chris Froome, on the other hand, faded after numerous attacks on Porte and eventually lost his podium place to Dan Martin, who finished second in the last stage. It looks like the Brit isn’t the main favourite for the upcoming Tour de France anymore. It’s still three weeks away, but even he acknowledges that Richie is the man to look out for.
Do you think Porte’s got what it takes to handle the yellow both on and off the road?
Matt’s pondering
