By Monica Buck

Another Monday is here, and so is our news from the world of cycling. So, what did you miss?

Philipsen wins the second stage

Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Fenix) claimed stage 2 win in a bunch sprint ahead of Fabio Jakobsen (Deceuninck – Quick-Step) and Michael Matthews. Unfortunately, after a touch of wheels, a crash happened inside the final 5 km. It claimed a number of Bora-Hansgrohe riders and caused quite a panic in the peloton. However, Primož Roglič emerged unscathed and is still in the lead after the win in the opening time trial.

How long do you think he’ll hold it?
