Mathieu van der Poel makes it three
The Dutchman flew over his handlebars early on in a muddy chicane. Van Aert accelerated trying to maximize his gains and it looked like it was all over for van der Poel. However, Wout van Aert then had a puncture and Mathieu left him behind. Steadily extending his advantage, Mathieu van der Poel crossed the line 37 seconds ahead of his biggest rival. He took the third rainbow jersey in a row and fourth overall. Congratulations! Well deserved, champ.

Great pro tip. Never drink from a bottle. Some riders pee in bottles and throw it away to people. Yes that’s disgusting. No i have never done this.

Joy of joys
UCI testers were the ones that lit the bonfire yesterday morning at our house after an hour trying to get the little lady back to sleep 😭

Does it?
Does it always snow this much in the UK during winter? When I was little it was the most exciting thing in the world and seemed to happen maybe 2 days a year. Now it feels as common as rain. Does it just feel like it because now I have a bike and not a sledge?
