Terms And Conditions

These rules regulate the terms of the “2024 TDF Contest” (hereinafter referred to as “Contest”) and are the only document which completely and obligatorily regulates the rules of this contest.

1. Contest host and organiser

The host of the Contest is Škoda Auto a.s., a joint-stock company with its registered office at tř. Václava Klementa 869, 293 01 Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic, Company ID number 00177041, registered in the Commercial Register administered by by the Municipal Court in Prague, section B, file number 332 (hereinafter referred to as the “Host”).

The organiser of the Contest, which provides practical steps in its organisation, is MUSTARD s.r.o., registered office Praha 1 – Nové Město, Masarykovo nábř. 246, 110 00, Czech Republic, ID No. 28531418, registered in the Commercial Register administered by the Municipal Court in Prague in Section C, Entry 148383.
(hereinafter referred to as the “organiser”)

2. Contest terms and place, Contest rounds

  • 1st contest round– 00:01 (CET) 29.6. 2024 to 23:59 (CET) 05.07. 2024
  • 2nd contest round– 00:01 (CET) 06.07. 2024 to 23:59 (CET) 12.07. 2024
  • 3rd contest round– 00:01 (CET) 13.07. 2024 to 23:59 (CET) 21.07. 2024
  • 4th contest round– 00:01 (CET) 12.08. 2024 to 23:59 (CET) 18.08. 2024

The Contest will be held on the www.welovecycling.com website (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest website”) where the communication with participants is primarily conducted.

3. Contest participants

The Contest may be entered by any individual who has reached at least the age of 18, and who resides in one of the countries where the Contest is being held. The Contest is being held in the following countries: ANDORRA, AUSTRALIA, AUSTRIA, BELGIUM, BOSNIA, BULGARIA, CROATIA, CZECH REPUBLIC, DENMARK, ESTONIA, FINLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY, GREAT BRITAIN, GREECE, HUNGARY, ICELAND, IRELAND, ITALY, LATVIA, LIECHTENSTEIN, LITHUANIA, LUXEMBOURG, MONTENEGRO, THE NETHERLANDS, NORWAY, POLAND, PORTUGAL, ROMANIA, SERBIA, SLOVAKIA, SLOVENIA, SPAIN, SWEDEN, SWITZERLAND.

To enter the Contest it is necessary to make a registration on the Contest website anytime during any Contest period, and confirm unconditional acceptance of these rules. A part of registration (entry form) is the provision of personal data – e-mail address that shall be used for purposes of this Contest only.

Each participant can register himself/herself only once and only under his/her own email address whereas the Contest Host reserves the right to check this rule via technical as well as organisational means.

All persons who have participated in the preparation of this Contest, mainly persons employed by or in a similar relationship with the Host or the Organiser, are ineligible to participate in the Contest, as are any persons in a similar relationship with the participating authorised Škoda partner or with agencies entrusted with ensuring this Contest, their family members and persons close to them.

4. Contest mechanism, evaluation of winners

The task of a participant is to answer three contest questions. All participants, who have correctly answered all three questions and registered on the We Love Cycling website, have a chance to win a prize.

In the 1st Contest round, the prizes are won by those participants who delivered all correct answers positioned at 1/11, 2/11, 3/11, 4/11, 5/11, 6/11 and 7/11 on the list of all participants. If the number of participants isn’t divisible by 11, the resultant number will be rounded down to the nearest whole number divisible by 11.

In the 2nd Contest round, the prizes are won by those participants who delivered all correct answers positioned at 1/11, 2/11, 3/11, 4/11, 5/11, 6/11 and 7/11 on the list of all participants. If the number of participants isn’t divisible by 11, the resultant number will be rounded down to the nearest whole number divisible by 11.

In the 3rd Contest round, the prizes are won by those participants who delivered all correct answers positioned at 1/11, 2/11, 3/11, 4/11, 5/11, 6/11, 7/11, 8/11 and 9/11 on the list of all participants. If the number of participants isn’t divisible by 11, the resultant number will be rounded down to the nearest whole number divisible by 11.

In the 4th Contest round, the prizes are won by those participants who delivered all correct answers positioned at 1/11, 2/11, 3/11, 4/11, 5/11, 6/11, 7/11, 8/11 and 9/11 on the list of all participants. If the number of participants isn’t divisible by 11, the resultant number will be rounded down to the nearest whole number divisible by 11.

The list of the participants will be sorted chronologically according to the time of submitting the contest questions. The first persons positioned as mentioned above from the list will be the winners. For example, for Round 1, in the case of 7183 participants, winners will be positioned at 653., 1306., 1959. (etc,) place.

The Contest Host will inform the winners via e-mail given during the registration within five days after the appropriate Contest period ends and the winners will be asked to provide data necessary for handover or sending of the prize or for further communication. If the winner doesn’t react, even to an email sent repeatedly by the Contest Host or doesn’t provide contact data within 24 hours after the email was sent, his prize will expire without any compensation.

Due to potential delays in the availability of parts, the delivery of bikes as prizes could take up to 8 months. This delay is caused by factors beyond our immediate control, such as sourcing components required for assembly.

6. Information on Personal Data Processing

The Host, as a personal data controller according to General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), hereby provides you with information about the processing of personal data and your rights related to the processing.

The processing takes place within the framework of the following activity:

– Organisation of competitions and assurance of fair voting in a voting competition 

Legal basis of the processing: We are entitled to process your personal data on the basis of the conclusion of a contract (these Contest Rules).

Categories of the personal data we process: Identification data, Contact information, Information on mutual communication and interaction.

Processing period: We process your personal data one year after termination of the Competition.

Categories of processors or recipients to whom we may provide personal data: The personal data processor is MUSTARD s.r.o., registered office Praha 1 – Nové Město, Masarykovo nábř. 246, 110 00, Czech Republic, ID No. 28531418, registered in the Commercial Register administered by the Municipal Court in Prague in Section C, Entry 148383 (Organiser). Upon request, your personal data may be provided to public authorities, in particular courts, the Police of the Czech Republic and other law enforcement authorities to the extent necessary and within the limits of the law.

Source of personal data: We receive the personal data directly from you.

Transfer of personal data to third countries or multinational companies: As part of this processing, your personal data will not be transferred to third countries or multinational companies.

Automated decision-making based on personal data: During this personal data processing, automated decision-making based on the personal data does not occur.

Other information: Personal data may be archived in the public interest and used for scientific, historical or statistical research purposes. In well-founded cases, personal data can also be the subject of processing for the purposes of legal matters resolution, including the performance of obligations towards public administration bodies and monitoring and ongoing evaluation of legal risks.

As part of the processing of personal data, you have the following rights: Access to the processed personal data, Correction of inaccurate or incorrect data or completion of incomplete data, Deletion of personal data in the event of termination of purpose or unauthorised processing, Restriction or blocking of personal data processing, Listing of personal data in a structured and machine-readable format for yourself or for another administrator, Not to be subject to automated decision-making.

In connection with the exercise of your rights, Škoda Auto may charge a reasonable fee taking into account the administrative costs for the processing when requests from a data subject are apparently unfounded or excessive.

7. Other important conditions

The Host shall exclusively determine the exact specifications of the winnings. The displaying of winnings in promotional materials is illustrative. The Host shall not be liable for any damages caused to the participant as a result of using the prize.

The participants are not entitled to demand money or other types of fulfilment as a substitution for the prize. The Host is not otherwise hereby bound to provide fulfilment to the Contest participants, and the participants shall not be entitled to any fulfilment from the Host other than that expressly specified herein.

The Host is not responsible for direct or indirect damages in connection with participation in the competition. The contestant accepts no responsibility of the Host for any risks and liabilities associated with the prize. The results of the Contest are final, without the possibility of appeal by the Contestant or the Winner against the course and result of the Contest. 

A participant may be excluded from the Contest if the Host discovers or has reasonable suspicion that the participant or other persons aiding the participant have engaged in fraud in order to receive prizes or engaged in unfair conduct or conduct not based on the participant’s knowledge in accordance with the rules.

The Host shall not be liable for any failure to deliver messages or winnings. The Host shall not be liable for any mistake occurring as a result of technical or communication problems. The Host shall decide with final validity regarding any complaints or presented objections. The Host reserves the right without being required to provide compensation to shorten, postpone, suspend or cancel the event and the prizes or to change or add anything to these rules unilaterally during the event’s existence by notifying of such changes on the website specified above, where the valid and complete wording of the rules can also be found.

This Contest is governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.
