Standing only a few meters from the finish line and watching the Tour de France peloton passing by, travelling in a VIP car in front of the peloton or having a ride with legendary Stephen Roche?<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Tomas Kypena and Andre Markwirth are two of three lucky winners of the WeLoveCycling.com Tour Flyover Contest. &#8220;I&#8217;m a big cycling fan. I love cycling because it&#8217;s a sport for everyone. It&#8217;s only up to you to decide if you want to work hard and ride many kilometers every day or if you prefer riding at a slow pace and enjoying the countryside,&#8221; says Tomas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2014\/08\/4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-25322\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2014\/08\/4-620x516.jpg\" alt=\"4\" width=\"620\" height=\"516\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<em>Three lucky winners, Tomas in the middle, Andre on the right side. (Photo: WeLoveCycling.com)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Even though both Tomas and Andre took part in the contest right from the beginning, they were surprised by the fact that they had won. &#8220;About half of my answers were pure guesses. I guess I was just lucky,&#8221; smiles Tomas.<\/p>\n<p>Tomas loves the Formula 1 races a lot too and visits them regularly. &#8220;Being at the Tour was completely different! I was overwhelmed by the atmosphere and I have to thank all of the SKODA team members who were taking care of us and did everything to make us feel comfortable.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2014\/08\/2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-25323\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2014\/08\/2-620x348.jpg\" alt=\"2\" width=\"620\" height=\"348\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<em>A bicycle ride with Stephen Roche. (Photo: WeLoveCycling.com)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>How did their Tour days look? Firstly, all the winners met in a hotel and enjoyed dinner together. In the wee hours of the next day, a big surprise was awaiting them. &#8220;We went for a bicycle ride with Stephen Roche, the 1987 Tour de France winner! We were riding together through the most beautiful landscapes, talking about cycling and enjoying every kilometer,&#8221; recall both Andre and Tomas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2014\/08\/5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-25324\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2014\/08\/5-620x348.jpg\" alt=\"5\" width=\"620\" height=\"348\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<em>Heavy rain during the stage. (Photo: WeLoveCycling.com) <\/em><\/p>\n<p>The weather unfortunately turned bad so the helicopters were banned from flying and the contest winners had to do without the flyover. &#8220;Nonetheless, we were riding in a special car in front of the peloton and later we met several riders who gave us their autographs. We had a lovely barbecue party and at the end of the stage, we were standing only about ten meters from the finish line. I have never experienced anything like this,&#8221; recalls Tomas. &#8220;The atmosphere was beyond description,&#8221; agrees Andre.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2014\/08\/1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-25325\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2014\/08\/1-620x348.jpg\" alt=\"1\" width=\"620\" height=\"348\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<em>The winners were standing only a few meters from the finish line.<\/em> <em>(Photo: WeLoveCycling.com)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re more then happy that we helped Tomas and Andre make their dreams come true!
