Gone are the days of the one-style-fits-all approach to cycling wear. Your bike is a way to express yourself, and there\u2019s no reason why your gear shouldn\u2019t do the same. No more clunky helmets and ill-fitting trainer tops, the modern cyclist can conquer the highest mountain or wildest adventure race, and look good doing it. A slick bike deserves a slick rider, and style need not be compromised when it comes to being fierce on the trails. Without further ado, allow us to introduce original cycling fashionista, Alex Feechan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When this trendsetter saw a gap in the market for chic women\u2019s cycling gear, she decided to take matters into her own hands. Feechan began her journey with sportswear design just over a year ago when she founded FINDRA, and the results have been remarkable. \u00a0Self-defined as \u201cstylish cycling clothing for women,\u201d FINDRA is changing the way women think and feel about getting dressed for a ride. We saw Alex\u2019s skills in action when she created a bespoke cycling apparel for our charity auction for Africa, where the dress was auctioned together with a unique Cinelli bicycle with proceeds going to World Bicycle Relief \u2013 a charity which provides bikes to people in need across the African continent.<\/p>\n<\/lite-youtube>\n

In her own words, \u201cWhen I first spotted what I felt was a gap in the market I felt inspired to do something better.\u201d Winning several business awards already in its first year, FINDRA was exactly what many female cyclists had been waiting for. When asked about her experience over the past year, Alex responded that is has been a rollercoaster of a journey with many ups and downs. She admitted that the biggest surprise has been the huge momentum the brand has harnessed since the launch. A nice surprise to say the least, she notes that \u201cthis amazing support and belief in FINDRA has come not only from customers but also from within the industry and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n

Praise well deserved in our opinion. In Feechan\u2019s case in particular, it was her willingness to fearlessly take on a new challenge that is most admirable.<\/p>\n

A likely contribution to the immediate success of the company, FINDRA\u2019s design reflects Alex\u2019s experience fusing fashion with exceptional functionality and durability. Addressing the unique concerns of women\u2019s performance gear, the products are female friendly while avoiding the \u2018shrink and pink approach\u2019, which has tended to dominate the conventional approach to female outerwear. Feechan understands that cycling is about expressing yourself, and it only makes sense that what you\u2019re wearing on your body reflects the poised confidence the sport embodies.<\/p>\n
