He explained there are clear rules concerning brakes. Yet he feels its not necessarily the lack of brakes which makes you dangerous, it\u2019s more about the mindset of the cyclist.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2015\/02\/110.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-26147\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2015\/02\/110-620x348.jpg\" alt=\"1\" width=\"620\" height=\"348\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Because of these rules, people driving cars in Berlin are considerate to people driving bicycles. Anselm Holthaus, a Berlin messenger, reminds us that \u201c99% of the time, people follow the rules\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Moscow is the flipside to Berlin<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In stark contrast in Moscow the police as well as drivers don\u2019t pay attention to cyclists at all. Some fixed gear fanatics would probably think it\u2019s great but as a result you are all alone as a cyclist in Moscow. You must be alert and focused at all times.
