He raised up the T\u00e1bor Cyclo-cross scene from the ground up. He brought the World cup and the World championship in Cycle-cross to T\u00e1bor.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not only because of his deployment and diligence but also thanks to support from partners such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.skoda-auto.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u0160koda AUTO<\/a>. Read the interview with the president of the Czech cyclo-cross\u00a0committee and president of the organising committee for the 2015 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships, \u010cestm\u00edr Kala\u0161.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2015\/02\/23.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-26077\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2015\/02\/23-620x413.jpg\" alt=\"2\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>How did the cooperation with \u0160koda start?<\/h2>\n<p>We noticed in 2000 that \u0160koda, the largest Czech automobile producer, was interested in cycling. We had seen the \u0160koda logo starting to appear on the jerseys of professional cycling teams from Italy and other countries.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2015\/02\/18.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-26076\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2015\/02\/18-620x413.jpg\" alt=\"1\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Moreover it was during the time, when \u0160koda signed partnership with Tour de France and it was clear that cycling is interesting topic for them. In year 2000 we signed up the contract with director of \u0160koda for our historically first world championship set in 2001.<\/p>\n<h2>What was your partnership based on?<\/h2>\n<p>We&#8217;d already had experience running a Championship. The Czech National Cup had eight competitions and with fantastic spectator support. The World Championship was broadcast live all around the world and had amazing audience figures. \u0160koda provided a fleet of cars for the trainer and organisers. A \u0160koda car lease was part of the price package for the winner of the Czech Cup.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2015\/02\/33.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-26078\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2015\/02\/33-620x413.jpg\" alt=\"3\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Has the form of support changed over time?<\/h2>\n<p>Everything goes forward. \u0160koda gained more experience, especially in their support of Tour de France. During the long-time cooperation the quantity and quality of advertising has grown. We now have more resources for the World Championship on a level which such an event rightly deserves.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Did other car companies compete to be your sponsor?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Truthfully yes. But we are Czechs and \u0160koda is the best car for us. Our representation trainer drives about 100,000 kilometres a year! He drives regularly to Belgium &#8211; it is cold outside so he jumps in his car and drives back home without any stop. Always any problems too.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2015\/02\/52.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-26080\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2015\/02\/52-620x413.jpg\" alt=\"5\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u0160koda has stayed strong with us even when we didn\u2019t have such results as we had expected. They always hold us and we will hold them back. It\u2019s simply clever.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How hard is it to prepare for such a big event?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The preparation takes two years. Last year before the event starts we are pursuing team with four people. Lot of things has to be done from securing the track to establishing press center. Last week before the start we have 300 people working on the track.
