The Unseen Stage was meant to push her into something entirely new: structured preparation for L\u2019\u00c9tape Poland. Now, deep into the training process, she is discovering that the hardest part is not necessarily the riding itself. It is everything surrounding it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zwolska runs a mountain hut, working shifts that often stretch to 16 hours a day. In theory, training is neatly organised inside an app. In reality, every workout requires negotiation with exhaustion, time, and geography itself. \u201cTo do my workout, I have to descend from the mountains to the road,\u201d she explains. \u201cEvery descent is time-consuming, and so is the ascent, so I need more time for training than someone in the valley.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The image perfectly captures her version of The Unseen Stage: while many riders squeeze training around busy schedules, Ewa is balancing it against a physically demanding lifestyle where work never really stops. \u201cI work like a horse here and train,\u201d she says bluntly. \u201cI have no personal time outside of training and physiotherapy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That physiotherapy has become necessary because of growing back pain \u2013 one more challenge layered onto an already overloaded routine. Recovery, she knows, is the missing piece. \u201cSometimes I get on the bike already terribly tired from work, and my legs are like jelly,\u201d she admits. \u201cI have no recovery, which I know is very important.\u201d Despite everything, she keeps showing up.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part of that consistency comes from support. I\u2019m very stressed.\u201d It is perhaps the most relatable side of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welovecycling.com\/wide\/2024\/09\/11\/understanding-your-limits-balancing-discomfort-and-endurance-in-long-distance-cycling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">endurance training<\/a> \u2013 the part rarely visible in polished race photos. The uncertainty. The fatigue. The feeling that no matter how much effort goes in, improvement does not always arrive in a straight line.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And yet, even through frustration, there are moments when Zwolska\u2019s natural stubbornness resurfaces. \u201cSometimes the workouts are intense, but it excites me,\u201d she says. \u201cI\u2019d like to push harder and do more, although it would probably be beyond my capabilities.\u201d That desire to do more, even while stretched to her limit, says everything about why she accepted The Unseen Stage in the first place. This is someone who once rode across Poland with almost no preparation simply because the idea fascinated her. Now she is confronting a different type of challenge entirely: discipline, repetition, and the psychological grind of structured training.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI\u2019ve only done romantic cycling so far,\u201d she says with a laugh. \u201cI definitely know now it\u2019s not attractive. You\u2019re hitting familiar routes to stay in the zones.\u201d No more carefree rides driven purely by exploration, at least until the end of summer. In their place is a more demanding relationship with the bike; one built around consistency and sacrifice. And perhaps that is exactly what makes Zwolska\u2019s journey so compelling. She is not training in perfect conditions. She is not balancing sport around comfort or free time. She is trying to build herself into an L\u2019\u00c9tape rider while carrying the weight of everyday life on tired legs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Will Ewa achieve her goals? <a
