You start with a simple question:
\n\u201cShould I lower my psi for winter?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

But what you\u2019re really asking is:
\n\u201cWho am I?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Welcome to the annual tyre pressure<\/a> identity crisis.
\nIt\u2019s wet. It\u2019s confusing. And it starts at 6 a.m. in your garage with a track pump and a deep sense of personal inadequacy.<\/p>\n

No one agrees on anything<\/strong><\/h2>\n

You Google. You scroll forums. You regret everything.<\/p>\n

One guy says 90 psi is perfect for all seasons.
\nAnother says if you’re not riding 62.3 psi on 32mm tubeless with a cotton casing, you\u2019re basically a criminal.<\/p>\n

Your coach says \u201cexperiment and listen to your body.\u201d
\nYour body says \u201cI have no idea what\u2019s going on but I\u2019d like to stop vibrating please.\u201d<\/p>\n

You start second-guessing everything.<\/p>\n

Are your roads that<\/em> rough?

\nShould you be measuring air pressure by bar now? Are you a bar person<\/em>?<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t know anymore. You don\u2019t even know if you like cycling.
\nYou just want to stop hydroplaning and maybe feel joy again.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s all you talk about.

\n\u2013 \u201cDropped 5 psi this week. Changed my life.\u201d
\n\u2013 \u201cI\u2019m thinking of going tubeless, but emotionally I\u2019m not there yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

You stare at your tyres like they\u2019re trying to tell you something.
\nYou squeeze them with your thumb like a 19th-century doctor diagnosing a lung infection.<\/p>\n

You have a digital gauge now.
\nYou call it \u201cthe truth machine.\u201d<\/p>\n

Every ride becomes a test<\/strong><\/h2>\n

You try 85 psi.
\nToo firm. You bounce like a trampoline full of bad decisions.<\/p>\n

You try 72.
\nToo soft. You corner like a greased manatee.<\/p>\n

\nBig mistake. The ride ends with a slow puncture, a minor breakdown, and a long text to your tyre brand asking if they do therapy.<\/p>\n

Every bump, every slip, every time your rear feels \u201ca bit squirmy,\u201d you spiral.<\/p>\n

Is this me?
\nIs this the pressure?
\nOr is this the consequence of years of emotional repression finally manifesting through sidewall flex?<\/strong><\/p>\n

You project onto your tyres<\/strong><\/h2>\n

You are not okay.
\nBut instead of addressing that, you ask if your tyres are underperforming.<\/p>\n

You mutter things like:
\n\u2013 \u201cI just don\u2019t feel supported right now.\u201d
\n\u2013 \u201cI think I\u2019ve been too inflated lately.\u201d
\n\u2013 \u201cWhat if I\u2019m the one<\/em> who\u2019s not gripping anymore?\u201d<\/p>\n

Your bike rolls silently beside you. Judging. Softly hissing.<\/p>\n

You settle on something. Briefly.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

You land on 78 front, 82 rear.
\nIt feels… fine. Not amazing. Not terrible. Just fine.<\/p>\n

You ride like someone who has made peace with compromise.
\nYou no longer flinch at every wet leaf.
\nYou start to smile again.
\nYou take corners with cautious hope.
\nYou tell yourself it\u2019s not about the numbers \u2014 it\u2019s about the journey.<\/p>\n

Then someone on your ride says:
