As the men\u2019s Tour de France entered its final week, the women\u2019s peloton prepares to take centre stage. This Saturday, the fourth edition of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift rolls out from Vannes, and Team Visma | Lease a Bike isn\u2019t just showing up \u2014 they\u2019re showing up to win.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Team manager Rutger Tijssen makes the mission clear: \u201cWe will go for the best possible result.\u201d And with a star-studded line-up that includes reigning Olympic mountain bike champion Pauline Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot and cycling legend Marianne Vos, it\u2019s not just talk.<\/p>\n

After dominating in mountain biking, Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot has returned to the road in style this season, claiming a monumental win at Paris-Roubaix<\/em>. Now, she’s preparing for her debut at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift\u2014 and she\u2019s done it her way.<\/p>\n

Following a forced withdrawal from La Vuelta due to injury, Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot took two months away from racing to focus exclusively on training, including a high-altitude camp in Tignes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a very good training period there and was able to take the final steps towards the Tour,\u201d Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot shared. \u201cIt was nice to be able to do that together with my teammates. We supported each other and brought out the best in each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

For the 33-year-old Frenchwoman, it\u2019s not just about this race \u2014 it\u2019s about the bigger picture. \u201cEvery stage is an opportunity to learn and grow in the bigger plan we have in mind as a team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot will be supported in the mountains by 20-year-old French talent Marion Bunel, who is riding her second grand tour of the year. \u201cIt\u2019s very special to ride this race in my home country,\u201d Bunel said. \u201cWe have trained together a lot in recent weeks, so we feel each other better and better. That joint preparation has brought us even closer together as a team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Marianne Vos is back in action after skipping the latter part of the Giro d\u2019Italia Women as a precaution. The 38-year-old Dutch superstar will be targeting stage wins, particularly in the opening hilly stages. \u201cThe first two hill stages should suit her well,\u201d Tijssen noted. \u201cWe would have preferred them to be a bit longer, but that doesn\u2019t mean we are not going for it.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Tour de France Femmes features nine stages, culminating in a brutal back-to-back mountain finale. Stage 8 ends atop the legendary Col de la Madeleine, and Stage 9 tackles the Col de Joux Plane, where the general classification will likely be decided.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe classification is expected to be decided there,\u201d Tijssen predicted, pointing to the closing fireworks as key to Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot\u2019s GC hopes.<\/p>\n

Rounding out the roster alongside Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot, Vos, and Bunel are Lieke Nooijen, Eva van Agt, Imogen Wolff, and Femke de Vries \u2014 a blend of experience, power, and rising talent.<\/p>\n

With stage wins and a high overall placement both in their sights, Team Visma | Lease a Bike enters the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift not just to compete, but to leave a mark.<\/p>\n

As Tijssen puts it: \u201cThe Tour is the biggest race of the year. I expect nine very nice days of racing.\u201d<\/p>\n
