Her triumphant solo victory on Stage 4, finishing on the shores of Lake Lucerne, capped off a comeback story that\u2019s as emotional as it is impressive.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m back in life and super happy and today I don\u2019t think about last year,\u201d Reusser said, referencing the injury and illness struggles that derailed her 2024 season.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Stage 4: K\u00fcssnacht &gt; K\u00fcssnacht \u2013 129.4km of Swiss precision<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The final stage played out like a cinematic finale. After setting a brutal pace up the decisive final climb, Reusser led a whittled-down group of four riders into the last 15 kilometres.<\/p>\n<p>When Kasia Niewiadoma (Canyon-SRAM-zondacrypto) launched a daring attack on the descent, Reusser let Demi Vollering (FDJ-SUEZ) do the chasing. Then, on a short rise, the Swiss rider struck. With one explosive move, she broke clear and never looked back, crossing the line 28 seconds ahead of Niewiadoma. She dictated the pace on the 9% gradients of the final climb, shredding the peloton and neutralising any attacks before they could even begin.<\/p>\n<p>Vollering, seemingly off her best, drifted backwards on the climb and couldn\u2019t match Reusser\u2019s strength or timing when it mattered most.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s great, I\u2019m really, really happy,\u201d Reusser said at the finish. \u201cI think we have a rivalry the whole year and I\u2019m making so many steps at this moment, and I think I\u2019m really developing a lot and I think it will keep being interesting,\u201d she added of her ongoing battle with Vollering.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The road ahead<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>With the Giro d\u2019Italia Women and Tour de France Femmes just around the corner, Reusser\u2019s
