Although the Olympics are officially over, the summer of sports is far from over. Today, on Monday, August 12, the women’s cycling calendar is set to be lit up by the always thrilling Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. Despite its youth, this event has already established itself as a key highlight, offering a fresh and exciting perspective on women\u2019s cycling.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event will see 154 riders travel across three countries, tackling eight stages totalling 950 kilometres (590 miles) and 13,566 meters (44,507 feet) of elevation in the quest for the iconic Maillot Jaune. The third modern edition of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift<\/a> serves up a Grand D\u00e9part in the cycling-obsessed Netherlands. Starting in Rotterdam, the women\u2019s peloton will then be seen coursing down the eastern edge of France and eventually ending atop one of bicycling\u2019s most iconic climbs, the Alpe d\u2019Huez.
