Looks like we\u2019ll have to wait a bit longer to watch Bernal clash with Tadej Poga\u010dar. Since it won\u2019t happen at Ruta del Sol today, cycling fans will most likely have to wait till Paris-Nice next month.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An Ineos Grenadiers spokesperson told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingnews.com\/news\/egan-bernal-to-miss-vuelta-a-andalucia-as-knee-injury-slows-comeback\/\"><em>Cyclingnews<\/em><\/a>: &#8220;Egan\u2019s left knee is still not 100% race ready following his crash in San Juan, and much as he\u2019d like to race there is no point risking its recovery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;We\u2019re optimistic about him being back racing in the next couple of weeks.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-controller-wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We&#39;re underway at <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/69RDS?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#69RDS<\/a>, with stage 1\u20e3 set to be a gruelling GC test. <\/p>\n<p>Five categorised climbs (3 x Cat 1) await the Grenadiers as we race to Santiago de la Espada. <\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udcfa Live on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GcnRacing?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@GcnRacing<\/a> from 13:00 BST <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/YWkaY8bM0k\">pic.twitter.com\/YWkaY8bM0k<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; INEOS Grenadiers (@INEOSGrenadiers) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/INEOSGrenadiers\/status\/1625804299472146433?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 15, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async data-src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bernal has been in fine attacking form in Argentina before the crash happened, adding more expectations to the two stars finally racing against each other again. If it happens at Paris-Nice, then Poga\u010dar and Bernal will be in fine company. After lengthy problems with his back, he crashed into a bus in January of last year. He suffered 20 broken bones and required seven separate surgeries. He returned to racing last year at a few smaller races.
