Fans of the \u0160koda Green Jersey competition at the Tour de France are no doubt greatly relieved that seven-time winner Peter Sagan (Team TotalEnergies) and the multitalented Belgian Jumbo-Visma rider Wout van Aert will be at the Grand D\u00e9part<\/em>\u00a0in Copenhagen when the three-week race kicks off on July 1.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sagan came down with Covid for the third time during this year\u2019s Tour de Suisse, and his start in the Tour had been in doubt. But his press officer told VeloNews<\/a> this week that the 32-year-old Slovakian was good to go after his eighth \u0160koda Green Jersey win. \u201cPeter is very good, he\u2019s really good,\u201d the press officer said. \u201cHe tested positive but he had zero symptoms, and then he was negative. Luckily, he was asymptomatic, with zero problems. So it\u2019s all good.\u201d<\/p>\n
