So, what did you miss?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Vlasov did it<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Aleksandr Vlasov (Bora-Hansgrohe) carefully finished in the peloton in stage five of the <a href=\"https:\/\/vueltacv.com\/en\/\">Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana<\/a> and thus secured the overall title. The 25-year-old Russian celebrated his first-ever stage race success. Remco Evenepoel (Quick-Step\u2013Alpha Vinyl) finished 32 seconds down. 21-year-old Carlos Rodr\u00edguez (Ineos Grenadiers) finished third at 36 seconds overall. Vlasov took the yellow jersey from Evenepoel on the dirt road climb to the Antenas del Maigm\u00f3 hilltop finish on stage 3. Fabio Jakobsen was blocked in during the Saturday sprint and QuickStep-AlphaVinyl wasn\u2019t going to be denied a triumph two times in a row. Even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welovecycling.com\/wide\/2021\/11\/01\/is-remco-evenepoel-cyclings-next-superstar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Remco Evenepoel<\/a> and Yves Lampaert took part in controlling the last three kilometres. Michael Morkov then positioned Jakobsen perfectly in the final 500 metres. The 25-year-old Dutchman then opened up his sprint in the last 150 metres and gave no chance to his rivals. Elia Viviani (Ineos Grenadiers) finished second and Alexander Kristoff (Intermarch\u00e9-Wanty-Gobert Mat\u00e9riaux) crossed the finish line third.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana \u2013 Stage 5 results<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>1.
