After a dominant performance throughout the whole race, the 22-year-old secured the general classification, young rider, and mountains classifications again. Last year he became the only rider to win these simultaneously. He is now the only rider to do it twice in a row. One cannot help but ask. Will he make it the third time around as well? Are we seeing the next Eddy Merckx? What do you think?<\/strong>

The last stage was calm as it should be until the riders reached the last round on Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es. Many teams tried to break the expected bunch finish but were unable to do so. Everyone expected Cavendish to win, but Wout van Aert once more showed his unbelievable capabilities and won his third stage this year.<\/p>\n

Winning the battle for the \u0160koda Green Jersey was definitely a pleasant consolation prize for Mark Cavendish. It was an unlikely comeback to the Tour for him. He only appeared on the start line due to Sam Bennett\u2019s health issues. However, the Manxman\u2019s performance left everyone in awe. More than deserved victory. The \u0160koda Green Jersey is in good hands.<\/p>\n
