Campenaerts wins stage 15<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Already the eighth time the breakaway managed to hold off the peloton at this year\u2019s Giro d\u2019Italia and it was the hour-record holder Victor Campenaerts (Qhubeka Assos) who proved to be the strongest in the end. He outsprinted Oscar Riesbeek (Alpecin-Fenix) after the pair broke away from the rest of the escapees before the last climb. The peloton came across the line 17 minutes later. All the GC contenders allowed themselves a break before today\u2019s big test ending in Cortina d\u2019Ampezzo.<\/p>\n
