Another Monday is here and our news from the world of cycling with it. So, what did you miss?<\/strong><\/p>\n


\nSagan\u2019s busy schedule<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Two Grand Tours, the Classics and the Olympics. The three-time world champ aims to keep himself busy in 2021.<\/p>\n

Peter will return to the Giro d\u2019Italia, which he took a liking to. He will also go back to the Tour, where he will hope to reclaim the \u0160koda Green Jersey.<\/a> The Classics won\u2019t (hopefully) coincide with the Giro this year, which will give Sagan a chance to improve his record there. And don\u2019t forget the delayed Olympics. The Slovakian champ will hope to make some splash there in the road race.<\/p>\n

While expected to claim it once again, Sagan did not win the \u0160koda Green Jersey at the 2020 Tour. \u00a9 Profimedia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Last season didn\u2019t go according to plan for Sagan. At least in the sense that he didn\u2019t win the \u0160koda Green Jersey at the Tour which everyone sort of expects from him now. Bora-Hansgrohe sports director J\u00e1n Valach talked about the last and the upcoming season in an interview for the Slovakian newspaper Pravda.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI think he did well. He fought for the green every day in the Tour and continued that line in the Giro.<\/a> He lacked better preparation because in other years he had a fuller schedule for the Tour,\u201d Valach explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is now at the ideal age for this,\u201d Valach said of the Classics. \u201cIn any case, they will be his main target in the coming seasons. Of course, it is also important that he retains his mental energy and that he enjoys it anyway. He is a fighter<\/a> and he can still take victories, especially in the classic games and also in the bunch sprints \u2013 if the situation is optimal for that.\u201d<\/p>\n
