What an opening to this year\u2019s last Grand Tour! With a tough climb at the finish of the first stage, the battle for the overall win has already begun. Primo\u017e Rogli\u010d is now in the lead, Chris Froome is out of contention and if the racing goes on like this, we\u2019re in for a treat.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Primo\u017e Rogli\u010d showed no sign of the heartbreak he suffered at the Tour. His team proved to be the strongest one again, with Sepp Kuss doing most of the damage with a series of attacks. Tom Dumoulin wasn\u2019t quite as strong and finished 51 seconds behind the winner. The winner was Primo\u017e Rogli\u010d, of course, who attacked with 1 km to go and none of his rivals could match his effort. He is now the Jumbo-Visma\u2019s outright leader and we\u2019re looking forward to see if anyone can strip him of the red jersey.<\/p>\n

Already winner of the last edition, @rogla<\/a> made the most of the first summit finish of the 2020 race to claim back La Roja as the overall race leader at the historical Alto de Arrate. <\/p>\n
