It was up to Egan Bernal alone to battle Sepp Kuss and Primo\u017e Rogli\u010d from Jumbo-Visma. Bernal tried to attack and Nairo Quintana (Ark\u00e9a-Samsic) and Emanuel Buchmann (Bora-Hansgrohe) did the same. However, Rogli\u010d proved all too powerful for all of them.<\/strong><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Slovenian rider launched a powerful seated attack with 700 metres to go leaving everyone behind. However, the weather decided to come and play as well. The heavens opened up and hailstorms rained down upon the fans and riders alike. Fans rushed for cover and Egan Bernal had to be escorted off a collapsing podium. Tony Martin from Jumbo-Visma retreated to the side of the road and waited it out under an inflatable raft.
