Another Monday is here and our news from the world of cycling with it. So, what did you miss?<\/strong><\/p>\n

European Road Championships postponed<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The European Road Championships 2020 will move to a new location. This year\u2019s edition was supposed to take place in Trento, Italy. However, the Trento event has been pushed back to September 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. That means that the 2021 \u2018Super-European Championships\u2019 in Minsk will likely not happen as planned. The capital of Belarus was to play host to riders competing in a wide variety of disciplines. The postponement of the 2020 Trento Championships hints that the Minsk edition will not include road races.<\/p>\n

\u201cGiven how the coronavirus is affecting the economics, we can look forward to the next year\u2019s event as a great opportunity to gather people and share our common thrive for upturn once the emergency will be finally over,\u201d Trento tourism board spokesperson Elda Verones said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the search for a new location continues. The rescheduled event should take place either between September 1-5 or September 8-12. If the European Road Championships isn\u2019t held this year, the current 2019 winners will continue to wear the champions\u2019 jerseys into 2021.<\/p>\n
