So, what did you miss?<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Jakob Fuglsang kept the lead<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Dylan van Baarle won the last stage, giving Team Ineos at least a little bit of consolation after the disastrous crash of Chris Froome. Jakob Fuglsang successfully defended his lead, arriving at the finish line 20 seconds ahead of Tejay van Garderen. Romain Bardet (Ag2r La Mondiale) + 1:38<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Chris Froome is feeling better<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cFirstly, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has sent their best wishes to me since the crash,\u201d Froome wrote in a statement released by Team Ineos. \u201cThis is obviously a tough time but I have taken a lot of strength from the support over the last three days. The outpouring of support has been really humbling and something I would never have expected.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_174258\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-174258\" style=\"width: 1220px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2019\/06\/froomehospital.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-174258\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2019\/06\/froomehospital.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1220\" height=\"816\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-174258\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u00a9 Team Ineos<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWhilst this is a setback and a major one at that, I am focusing on looking forward. There is a long road to recovery ahead, but that recovery starts now and I am fully focused on returning back to my best.\u201d<br \/>\nFroome\u2019s unfortunate crash is obviously a huge loss for Team Ineos. However, Geraint Thomas is still optimistic about their chances at the Tour.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe team\u2019s still strong and whoever comes into it to replace him will certainly add to the team and be able to contribute a lot. So we just need to stay positive, refocus and keep going,\u201d the defending champion said after a Tour de Suisse stage.<\/p>\n<p>Can he do it? Defend the title?
