Okhwan Yoon is a Korean-born adventurer, activist and, most of all, a Don Quixotesque dreamer. In 2001, he decided to quit his successful career in law, leave Seoul, hop on a bike and ride to unite the two Koreas. Here\u2019s a little something for figure lovers: more than 10 years, 10,000 kilometres across 193 countries, 6 crashes, and 5 surgeries.<\/strong><\/p>\n

His story is too fascinating to exist without being captured in a movie and luckily, film director Marek Mackovi\u010d met Okhwan at the Cyprus airport one day. And even this random encounter alone was quite spectacular.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne day I was sitting at the Cyprus airport with my eyes closed, head filled with one thought: \u2018I am managing my movie company but forgetting to make movies that inspire people. Stop dreaming and shoot a movie!\u2019 And while my eyes were still closed, someone tapped on my shoulder and asked: \u2018Could you take a picture of me?\u2019 That someone was Okhwan and thanks to him it all begun.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They got into a chat, and the ground for making a movie was laid. A part of Okhwan\u2019s journey even made it to the Sundance Film Festival. Mackovi\u010d\u2019s shots from Nepal are featured in the Life in a Day movie.<\/p>\n
