In fact, the whole of America did. The end of the 19th century marked the first cycling craze in the USA. The mass demand for \u2018noiseless steeds\u2019 sped up and standardized production and led to new inventions, such as pneumatic tyre. And all that progress laid the foundations needed for future development of another novelty. The automobile.<\/strong><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2018\/10\/23.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full
