Pinnacle Lithium 0 – \u00a3275<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Lithium 0 is the perfect example of why Pinnacle has endured.\u00a0 The V-brakes couldn\u2019t be easier to maintain, and washing and regreasing the drivetrain is as simple as you can get without resorting to a fixie or hub gears.\u00a0 Limiting you to just seven gears, the Lithium 0 is an uncomplicated ride<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The frame has internal cable routing as standard, which is quite something for a full bike in the sub-\u00a3300 bracket.\u00a0 Consequently, the fender, bottle cage, and rack mounts are conveniently placed and don\u2019t snag the eye.\u00a0 Very impressive.<\/p>\n

B\u2019Twin Triban 520 Flat Bar – \u00a3429<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Decathlon\u2019s own brand B\u2019Twin hybrid has a slick design and the decent Sora triple groupset is excellent value for the price.\u00a0 Like many of these bikes, the geometry is relatively upright and \u201crelaxed\u201d but, in this case, it\u2019s worth delving into what \u201crelatively\u201d means.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

All hybrids can be mapped somewhere between a mountain bike and a road bike, and the 520 Flat Bar is essentially a road bike that happens to have flat bars<\/a>.\u00a0 This bike is perfect for someone who is uncomfortable with drop handlebars but values speed, economy, and handling of a road bike.<\/p>\n

Planet X Full Monty SRAM Apex 1 Flat Bar Gravel Bike – \u00a3799<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The name doesn\u2019t exactly roll off the tongue, and neither does the spiel on Planet X\u2019s website.\u00a0 But trimming back the jargon, you\u2019re left with a compelling mix<\/a> of off-road capability and street-wise geometry that make the Full Monty the perfect bike for the hybrid enthusiast.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

You want flat bars?\u00a0 You got it.\u00a0 Wide tyre clearance?\u00a0 For sure.\u00a0 Disc brakes for diverse conditions? Yep.\u00a0 SRAM Apex 1?\u00a0 So hot right now and, yes, Planet X are right to highlight the clutch mech design.\u00a0 When you\u2019re tinkering over boulders and churning pebbles with your knobbly tyres, you\u2019ll thank them for this choice.\u00a0 Planet X call it a gravel bike.\u00a0 I call it a hybrid.<\/p>\n

Cube Hyde Pro – \u00a3849<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I don\u2019t know what to make of this bike, and that is what makes it so compelling<\/a>.\u00a0 Tredz offer the Hyde Pro with Schwalbe Big Apple tyres \u2013 they\u2019re effectively slicks and roll like tanks.\u00a0 The small front sprocket offers plenty of torque to get the 29\u201d wheels rolling, and the frame geometry sits you high.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

It feels like you\u2019re riding in a refined urban SUV.\u00a0 You wouldn\u2019t spend every day working on a farm, but you wouldn\u2019t mind taking it on a trail.\u00a0 The Hyde Pro is belt drive and the gearing is an 8-speed internal hub.\u00a0 Easy to clean.\u00a0 Easy to ride.\u00a0 And most importantly, plenty of fun.<\/p>\n

Cannondale Bad Boy 1 – \u00a31,495<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We could argue till the cows come home about whether your fork at the front needs to have 2 prongs or not.\u00a0 But the bottom line is \u2013 how does this bike<\/a> feel to ride?\u00a0 It\u2019s undeniably superb, and reviews suggest Cannondale seem to have made good on their promise of One Piece Integration<\/a>.<\/p>\n
