There are many ways to do that. A lot of them can be successful, but you have to choose the one that fits your personality. Sometimes starting with what you already eat and going from there is the best approach. Let\u2019s look at some examples of small changes you can make.<\/strong><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Are you an abstainer or a moderator?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019re an abstainer, then making small gradual changes is probably not good enough for you. You prefer to go all out, declare what\u2019s ok and what\u2019s off-limits, and stick to that no matter what. On the other hand, if you\u2019re a moderator, you have no problem with small steps and even having \u201cbad\u201d foods in moderation without the risk of binging. You\u2019re allowed indulgences as long as you make improvements to the way you normally eat.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Lunch level 1<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u2022 Lunch means going for a fast-food take-away.<br \/>\n\u2022 You eat your burger, fries, and soda on the way back to work.<br \/>\n\u2022 You can\u2019t imagine a lunch without a sweet dessert at the end of it.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Lunch level 2<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u2022 You choose a better restaurant than the closest greasy burger place.<br \/>\n\u2022 You order something with real meat in it and have a small salad along with fries.<br \/>\n\u2022 You don\u2019t eat on the go. You always have some fresh veggies and boiled potatoes or brown rice alongside it.<br \/>\n\u2022 You take a break to relax and eat your meal outside to get some fresh air too.<br \/>\n\u2022 You only drink water or tea with your lunch, no soda, no desserts.<\/p>\n<p>This is just one example. You can end up with a nutritious lunch without meat, you can go for legumes instead, or replace potatoes with an avocado and stay low-carb. Just keep in mind, not everybody needs to get to level 4. It\u2019s certainly better to move up at least one level than none at all.
