The dating scene of today is fast, instant, and unforgiving thanks to dating apps such as Ok Cupid and Tinder and others. Lot of us has been through the whole process of taking the perfect snap of ourselves (hello Photoshop) and labouring over the perfect profile description that would woo our future potential match. But as with every field of human interest, somebody always has to take things up a notch. Such as the YouTube user Abhishek lyer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When he entered the stormy waters of the Tinder, he was just looking for a casual hangout and to have a coffee with someone but that proved to be not very thrilling to the ladies. He got to the conclusion that his profile needs to stand out to catch the eye. So he cycled the east-west length of Nepal and the legendary Annapurna circuit and made a video of it all.<\/p>\n<\/lite-youtube>\n

The route<\/a> took him 40 days and 1,500+ kilometres and at the highest point of his journey, the Thorung La pass, he climbed to 5,416 km in elevation. He did the course solo and recorded it on his GoPro Hero 5, starting in Siliguri, West Bengal, and finishing in Banbasa, Uttarakhand, crossing Kathmandu, Pokhara, and the mentioned Annapurna Circuit. The footage shows it all, the raw and wild beauty of Nepalese nature, the friendly locals, and even those few moments when Abhishek\u2019s determination and stamina wavered a bit. There\u2019s even a little amusing sequence of rants, where we see him hating his bike, his gloves, the heat, and even the sun itself. Masterfully cut into a short, dynamic documentary, you\u2019ll enjoy this one man\u2019s quest to prove himself and the world that there\u2019s more to him that meets the eye behind his Tinder profile picture.
