Geraint Thomas enjoying the lead<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The weather wasn\u2019t very kind to the riders yesterday, with Froome and other favourites taking a big fall in one of the corners, but not even that could spoil Geraint\u2019s happiness.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a really special day to walk off the bus in yellow. It was a massive buzz all day. It was raining, but I didn\u2019t really mind too much. The adrenaline and the pride of just wearing the jersey just meant my day was awesome. I just really enjoyed it. I don\u2019t know how long I can keep it. Tomorrow will be different guys up there sprinting for the win, which will be good for me, but we have to be right up there in a good position. Who knows? Maybe to stage five will be nice, then I can hand it over to Froomey,\u201d Thomas said after the finish in Li\u00e8ge.<\/p>\n

Kittel in green<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The German is currently leading the Green Jersey classification after winning stage two, but does not hope to stay in the \u0160koda sponsored jersey for very long.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you look at the last five Tours de France, every time it\u2019s Peter Sagan. There was always a sprinter who won four stages and did not even have a small chance of going for green. The only way you can win the jersey is if Peter Sagan gets sick or has to leave the race for another reason. Look at the last years and you have always had a very successful sprinter. Last year it was Mark Cavendish, the year before it was Andr\u00e9 Greipel, the year before that it was me, and none of us had any chance of going for the green jersey,\u201d Kittel said during the post-race press conference.<\/p>\n

The favourite remains calm<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Chris Froome fell, among many others, during stage two with just 30 km to go. The defending champion stayed positive, though, claiming he \u201clost just a little bit of skin\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are no injuries thankfully. That\u2019s the nature of the race because we knew it was slippery conditions like that. Every time you put a race out there like that, it\u2019s a big risk with someone touching wheels or someone sliding a few wheels in front of you. You just can\u2019t avoid it, but thankfully everyone\u2019s ok and got to the finish line without losing any time,\u201d Froome said after the race.<\/p>\n
