The cycling world is so vast and diverse that bikes even become parts of art installations, performances, and sometimes, their aesthetic function is simply valued over the transportation one.<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-controller-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-wrapper\"><iframe title=\"Cyklomatofon - Boom 2016, Portugal\" data-src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/204225114?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>This brings us to a field of interest where the <a href=\"http:\/\/bambooelement.cz\/portfolio\/cyklomatofon\">Cyklomatofon<\/a> was born, although we cannot entirely pinpoint where that field is located. Creative artistic group called Bamboo Element, based in the Czech Republic, primarily specializes in creating large-scale bamboo installations that can be seen at small non-commercial Czech and international festivals and other community events. In their own words: \u201cWe endeavour to take our dreams and imaginings and make them into temporarily tangible objects. From the initial <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/149284762\">test ride<\/a> at the Freeze festival in the Czech Republic where the device was only partially functional, the Cyklomatofon evolved into this kind of <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/204225114\">gargantuan behemoth<\/a> that makes a lot of noise and flames, and even has its own accompanying fabulous cohort. Yes, you read that correctly, this devil\u2019s leisure weekend bicycle has a built-in flamethrower, apart from all the musical appendages and heaps of steel pipes, because why the hell not. The authors describe it as a \u201chuge mutant tricycle for 4 guys where 3 pedal to ride and the 4th pedal to power the music.
