But most importantly, the longer reach and shorter stays will improve handling for the larger gentleman.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2017\/04\/Ellsworth-Rogue-sixty-enduro-mountain-bike-2017-160mm-14.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-147692\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2017\/04\/Ellsworth-Rogue-sixty-enduro-mountain-bike-2017-160mm-14.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The bike comes Di2 ready, so keep a lookout for a wide range of specifications from different retailers throughout 2017 \u2013 the frame comes with an \u201ce-Den\u201d storage area in the downtube for any batteries and junctions. Rogue Forty is future-proof.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Norco Ithaqua 6.2<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>When I visited Toronto a few years back, I was so impressed with Norco I bought one when I returned to the UK. I\u2019m not even a fan of fat bikes but I\u2019m seriously tempted to get the Ithaqua 6.2.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2017\/04\/052991-1-full.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-147693\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2017\/04\/052991-1-full.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"940\" height=\"595\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Each time I\u2019m asked to put a list together I like to sneak in at least one good looking bike and this is the one. The lines of the beautifully sculpted carbon frame are uninterrupted by unnecessary distractions like front or rear suspension, the cables routed out of sight. This bike is the consummate cruiser.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Yeti SB5 Beti<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>More astute cyclists know that female friendly MTBs are simply smaller, stronger MTBs. Consider the 2017 Beti \u2013 the gusset connecting the top tube to the seat tube is gone and the cranks are shorter, both of which offset the additional weight from the sturdier carbon fibre frame.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2017\/04\/2017_YetiCycles_SB5_Beti_TS_Turq_X01_Eagle-mobile@2x.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-147694\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2017\/04\/2017_YetiCycles_SB5_Beti_TS_Turq_X01_Eagle-mobile@2x.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1440\" height=\"960\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Women will be more than happy with this model, but I think lighter framed, modestly statured men should give the Beti a spin \u2013 you\u2019d be surprised how quickly it climbs.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Surly Karate Monkey 27.5+<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In a bike with no suspension, front or rear, no electronic gadgetry, minimal gearing, what exactly are you paying a premium for? Well, for Surly and not only because they\u2019ve introduced \u201cGnot-Boost\u201d rear drop outs at 145mm.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2017\/04\/surly-karate-monkey-27plus_01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-147695\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2017\/04\/surly-karate-monkey-27plus_01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1480\" height=\"998\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Before you yell \u201cbut I just got used to 148mm!!\u201d remember the Karate Monkey is made from the amazing material called STEEL. Any half decent bike mechanic can stretch the drop outs to accommodate a slightly larger hub or give them a pinch to fit the standard 142mm. Surly are many things, but they ain\u2019t stupid. This bike is a great investment.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Canyon Sender CF 9.0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Canyon live up to every clich\u00e9 you\u2019ve heard about German engineering. For a start, they don\u2019t trust 3rd parties to build adequate accessories so the CF 9.0 comes with its own rear fender to protect the rear shocks and linkage. That\u2019s a statement of intent.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2017\/04\/sender-cf-8_c1180.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-147696\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2017\/04\/sender-cf-8_c1180.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"2400\" height=\"1480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The CF 9.0 has a reputation of being fun to ride although it\u2019s not always immediately apparent why. Maybe it\u2019s how quiet it is \u2013 after all, the rattle of internal cables is silenced by foam cushions. Maybe it\u2019s the triple-phase-suspension. Maybe it\u2019s the fact that it comes with Renthal stem and bar straight out the box.
