Dog vs. peloton<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/lite-youtube>\n

A video of a surprise visitor during an Italian Gran Fondo went viral last week for understandable reasons. The dog took on the competition and despite the efforts of the riders on motorbikes to chase him off, the canine managed to stay ahead of the pros for a pretty long time!<\/p>\n

Or he does at least have a positive outlook on life. Which is definitely not easy when you\u2019re facing a $100m lawsuit.<\/p>\n

Romain Bardet disqualified<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Frenchman had a truly bad day. First he was caught out as the race was split in crosswinds and then he crashed. The weather was extremely harsh, and Bardet took an illegal car tow, which was recorded from a helicopter. Following the disqualification, the 26-year-old took to Twitter to express his apology.<\/p>\n
