The original idea emerged in summer 2012, when our ambassador Richard \u2018Gaspi\u2019 Gasperotti\u2019s went to Mongolia. Areca is farmed for areca or betel nuts. The nuts are chewed with betel leafs for their effects as a mild stimulant, causing a warming sensation in the body and slightly heightened alertness, although it varies from person to person.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_142245\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-142245\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-142245 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2016\/08\/13590481-1024x683.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-142245\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Secret trails near Taichung are being kept by the local biking fans.
