He finished fourth behind the stage winner Primo\u017e Rogli\u010d from Etixx-QuickStep and decided to leave the race and focus on the rest of the season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the end, I paid a bit for trying to gain on the rider I saw in front of me. I went a bit over the edge and then I paid the price, but in the end, I could manage in the downhill to recover a bit. That\u2019s how it is. I knew it was my last stage, so I did it all-in,\u201d said Cancellara.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The dirt climb<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Cancellara might be out, but the glory of Giro d&#8217;Italia lives on.
