He did so within 10 days of his 10<sup>th<\/sup> wedding anniversary, leaving many to fail to understand his actions.<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, we published a short interview with Dave\u2019s friend (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.welovecycling.com\/blog\/133443\/dave-mirras-death-puzzles-his-friends\/\" target=\"_blank\">HERE<\/a>), who believed Mirra had had all the reasons to keep on living. But as it turns out from other interviews, the legend of the cycling world really struggled. The website TMZ.com spoke to another of Dave\u2019s close friends and revealed Mirra had troubles trying to fill the void his finished BMX career had left.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2016\/02\/profimedia-0026489875.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-133463\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2016\/02\/profimedia-0026489875-600x900.jpg\" alt=\"Dave Mirra, one of the biggest BMX legends, supposedly shot himself last week. He did so within 10 days of his 10th wedding anniversary, leaving many to fail to understand his actions.\" width=\"600\" height=\"900\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He replaced it with introducing kids in Greenville, North Carolina to extreme sports, such as BMX or speed cycling, but it supposedly just wasn\u2019t enough. Mirra failed to find something to give him the kind of adrenaline rush he was used to during his active career.<\/p>\n<lite-youtube videoid=ctWEq1jkAvw params=\"enablejsapi=1\" style=\"background-image: url('https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi_webp\/ctWEq1jkAvw\/maxresdefault.webp');\"><\/lite-youtube>\n<p>Although he believed working with kids was important and tried to convince himself it was just as satisfying as BMX, the loss of the excitement, according to TMZ, became a significant factor in his deep depression.<\/p>\n<p>The recurring theme Dave kept mentioning was that he felt lost.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dave Mirra, one of the biggest BMX legends, supposedly shot himself last week.
