Dave supposedly\u00a0killed himself after leaving a message for his wife on Instagram.<\/strong><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Sad news seems to keep on coming this time of the year. Just a few days after the unfortunate death of Kelly Mcgarry (read more about it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welovecycling.com\/blog\/133310\/kelly-mcgarry-passed-away\/\" target=\"_blank\">HERE<\/a>), the world of cycling has lost another legend. Mirra supposedly shot himself in his truck nearby Rose High School in Greenville, North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>Dave became one of the most successful X-Games athletes ever, winning 24 medals thanks to his incredible talent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eWe mourn the loss today of a great friend and wonderful human being who touched the lives of so many around the world with his gift. He called Greenville, North Carolina, home and was as humble a guy talking with kids on a street corner about bikes as he was in his element on the world stage. The other image, as you can see below, shows the legend riding a BMX bike at Rose High School in Greenville.
