And while it\u2019s very hard to describe the excitement of five cycling enthusiasts experiencing the atmosphere of La Grande Boucle for the first time, here we go.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>For a change of pace, I\u2019m going to start at the end. Right after I dropped off the last of the winners (whom I now count as a friend), I got the following message on my phone: <em>Thank you for unforgettable memories. I still didn\u2019t wholly process the experience, but you made my dream come true<\/em>. But things really got going the next morning when everyone pulled on the cycling clothes \u0160koda provided for us for our 1-hour ride with cycling legend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welovecycling.com\/blog\/25667\/ride-stephen-roche-sons\/\" target=\"_blank\">Stephen Roche<\/a>. And when I say legend I mean a LEGEND! The cars even had our names printed on them to make us feel like true VIPs. Before the starting gun, however, we were on our way for the true highlight of the day. We made first one pass, then another pass of the peloton, swooping past the riders. From the expressions of the faces of our winners, it was obvious that this was truly something special for every one of us. (By the way, how you know you\u2019re definitely in France? By the time we got there our arms were sunburned and tired from waving at the cheering crowds lining the road.
