Starting in Briancon, the 18th stage of the 104th edition of the Tour de France will hand you the experience of your life. Don’t get fooled by the scenic landscape and jaw-dropping lake view – this route is not for the faint of heart. This year’s l’Étape du Tour will offer you not one, but two challenging peaks to climb. If the Col de Vars with 2 190m elevation isn’t much of a rival for you, you will be treated to the 10 finishing kilometres before Izoard – just shy of 9 % of average gradient.
