Under har vi samlet en rekke sykkeldesign som aldri ble noe s\u00e6rlig suksess, fordi de rett og slett ikke fungerte eller d\u00e5rlig interesse.<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Den franske ingeni\u00f8ren \u00c9tienne Bunau-Varilla designet &laquo;the V\u00e9lo Torpille&raquo;, eller torpedo sykkelen i 1913. Dette var en sykkel som hadde et overbygg som var designet for \u00e5 gi sykkelen bedre aerodynamikk. Sykkelen ble brukt av den franske sykelisten Marcel Berthet for \u00e5 sette ny verdensrekord p\u00e5 5km bane. Berthet syklet de 5km p\u00e5 5 min og 39 sekunder. Dette gir en snittfart p\u00e5 53 km\/t. Designet p\u00e5 sykkelen ble fort forbudt, fordi det ga for store fordeler. Dette er \u00e5rsaken til at vi aldri s\u00e5 noe mer til &laquo;the V\u00e9lo Torpille.&raquo;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1742\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1742\" style=\"width: 552px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1742 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/2\/2020\/01\/V\u00e9lo-Torpille.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"552\" height=\"401\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1742\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">V\u00e9lo Torpille<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Elswick-Hopper Scoo-ped (navnet i seg selv var for mye) ble introdusert i UK i 1959. Sykkelen skulle gi syklisten en f\u00f8lelese av komforten man f\u00e5r i en bil uten \u00e5 faktisk kj\u00f8re bil. Designeren Maurice Moss var tydeligvis inspirert av italienske scootere fra 1950-tallet som man kan se p\u00e5 bildet under. Sykkelen var lagd av en st\u00e5lramme med et glassfiber deksel. Dekselet inneholdt blant annet store skjermer som skulle gj\u00f8re det mulig \u00e5 sykle p\u00e5 v\u00e5tt underlag uten \u00e5 f\u00e5 sprut p\u00e5 kl\u00e6rne. Til tross for et i utgangspunktet fint design, s\u00e5 var det ingen som kj\u00f8pte sykkelen. Det ble totalt produsert tre\u00a0Elswick-Hopper Scoo-ped.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1743\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1743\" style=\"width: 513px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1743\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/16\/2020\/06\/The-Elswick-Hopper-Scoo-ped.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"513\" height=\"617\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1743\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Elswick-Hopper Scoo-ped<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Til tross for at denne sykkelen ble designet av Mercedes ingeni\u00f8ren Oda Klose, s\u00e5 ble dette ikke noe stor suksess. &laquo;Sprick Active&raquo; som er navnet p\u00e5 sykkelen er kjent som et av de verste sykkeldesign gjennom tidene. Styret til sykkelen var designet som et bilratt, noe som i seg selv er noe spesielt. Hvorfor gj\u00f8re noe med noe som allerede fungerer s\u00e5 bra? Sykkelen var hovedsakelig produsert i plast, ogs\u00e5 hjulene. Sykkelen ble designet til &laquo;Bicycle and Motorcycle Exhibition&raquo; i Cologne i 1982, som en reklame for boken &laquo;Cycling art.&raquo; Det ble faktisk produsert 60 000 Sprick Active, men etter den tid har designet aldri blitt brukt igjen.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1744\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1744\" style=\"width: 958px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1744\" src=\"https:\/\/d2p6e6u75xmxt8.cloudfront.net\/16\/2020\/06\/Sprick-Active-Comfort.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"958\" height=\"657\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1744\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sprick Active<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Denne sykkelen ble produsert i nesten 100% plast. &laquo;Itera&raquo; var navnet og sykkelen ble lagd av et svensk team fra bilprodusenten Volvo. M\u00e5let var \u00e5 produsere en sykkel som krevde lite vedlikehold for jobbsyklister. Det siste seg fort at plastisk ikke var det beste materialvalget for en sykkel. Rammen var ikke stiv nok, som gjorde at sykkelen ikke var noe god \u00e5 sykle p\u00e5. I tillegg brakk styret til noen av syklene, noe som er sv\u00e6rt lite heldig. I tillegg til for d\u00e5rlig materialvalg, s\u00e5 kom syklene som et byggesett. Byggesettet var vanskelig \u00e5 sette sammen for de fleste, noe som resulterte i mange feilmontert sykler.
