Wie is er niet dankbaar dat hij deze klassieker op tv kan volgen in plaats van zelf daar te moeten fietsen in de modder en regen? De race heeft zo&#8217;n unieke combinatie van adembenemende actie en onvoorspelbaarheid dat hij in een volstrekt ander fietstijdperk thuis lijkt te horen. En met een boeiende geschiedenis die maar liefst teruggaat tot het jaar 1896, is dat ook waar.
